What would you speak about during your 3 minute TEDx Talk?
I would speak about the personal breakthroughs I have experienced through abstinence. I have had the opportunity to learn amazing things about myself and others by not doing things. When speaking of abstinence most people will think about drugs or alcohol, and sure I have experience in that area as well. But the most impressive results come from abstinence in other, more subtle, areas of my life. For me, not reacting to another person’s verbal or non verbal communication for instance, has always been very difficult, and once in a while I am able to sit back and shut up. Amazing!
