What is your TEDx job?
I feel like the luckiest person in The Netherlands to be awarded the license for TEDx in Amsterdam. It all started with one little blog posting in 2009. Short after that I founded the TEDxAmsterdam Foundation together with Monique van Dusseldorp and Marian Spier.
My official title there is president (voorzitter). Most of the time I act as “bar keeper”. What I mean with that is that I’m doing my best to bring everybody together so that the impact of the team is much bigger than the sum of the individual efforts.

Your Favorite TEDtalk?
I have many. My iPhone contains up to 60 talks in MP3 that I listen to during commuting. At this moment John Hodgman’s “A brief digression of time ” is my favorite. His timing, his choice of words is brilliant. Can’t listen to that one enough.
What would you speak about during your 3 minute TEDx Talk?
At TED 2009 (Long Beach) I had the pleasure to give a 6 minute talk. It was about “living without the Internet”. Right now I would like to share some results of my new research.
