Rik is a friend for moving images and inspired by the works of Jonathan Glazer, Spike Lee and Spike Jonze. In 2004 he got introduced to Valkieser Capital Images where he discovered the fascinating world of post production and developed a strong interest in visual effects and digital compositing. To further explore his creative spirit he moved to Los Angeles to work on a feature film at Rebel Film Studio. Back in Amsterdam he joined The Ambassadors, as a junior compositor to work on several commercials and the award-winning feature Sing for Darfur.
Eventually he launched Visual Nostalgia his own freelance production unit. In 2009 his main challenge is to further specialize towards crossmedia strategy. And to him, TEDxAmsterdam is “food for thought” to the growing mind and an important part of his “journey of becoming”.
