VIDEO: 3d view of TEDxAmsterdam

What was TEDxAmsterdam like? You can read the reports, watch the talks online, but you can also ‘walk around” in the Royal Tropical Institute for a few minutes and feel part of the TEDxAmsterdam experience.

First of all, take a look at the Marble Hall during lunch time. This excellent three-D picture with sound was made by Henri Smeets of C360!

Use your mouse to move around in the picture and look in all directions!

That’s a wonderful rendition of a moment in time, is it not?

Now start the image below! Hey! not only can you move around in the room, you can actually see people in the audience moving! This is a 3D video movie, made by Yellowbird, a company that also presented this as a short tech demo on the TEDxAmsterdam stage.

As they say themselves “Yellowbird’s technology is about enjoying a totally interactive 3D view. A view that reaches beyond today’s standard perspective and that is experienced by viewers as if they are floating. Just like a bird soaring through the sky.”

What you will see is the end of the presentation by Rafael Redczus, and the singing in the musical performance led by speaker Merlijn Twaalfhoven. Enjoy..
