Prof dr Louise Vet is a professor of Evolutionary Ecology at Wageningen University and director of the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW), the largest institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.
She is an ecologist with a broad interest in ecology and evolution, working on multitrophic interaction. Besides conducting high quality ecological scientific research, Louise Vet works on achieving a good marriage between ecology and economy.
In her TEDxAmsterdam talk, she gives various examples of ways in which economy and ecology can work together, and she highlights the pioneering work being done on the new headquarters of the NIOO: a place where everyone is invited to come use the toilets…
