Alef Arendsen is one of the founders of the New Motion, an organization that is about electric mobility powered by renewable energy. Solar energized electric cars is something that inspires him. Alef previously founded and sold IT companies JTeam and SpringSource.
The New Motion offers every person in The Netherlands the opportunity to choose mobility solutions powered by renewable energy that enhance their lives. Everything The New Motion does is rooted in this goal. The New Motion promotes electric mobility by making it affordable, and showing that it’s cool, fun and fast. At TEDxAmsterdam, The New Motion will also show this by bringing the newest electric cars to Leidseplein. So make sure you stop off at the pit stop for a test drive! In Boom Chicago The New Motion will also be running a simulcast event; TEDxAmsterdam PLUGGED-IN with a special electric theme!
