During the last four weeks visitors to AfricaUnsigned.com were able to invest in their favorite of three female Kenyan artist. Three artists competed for the highest amount invested by music fans. As the winner, Muthoni the Drummer Queen is invited by TEDxAmsterdam and Africa Unsigned to give a performance on November 30 in the Amsterdam Stadsschouwburg.
Micro financing in the music industry is a relatively new phenomenon. The three competitors managed to reveal an exciting neck-to-neck race. Muthoni the Drummer Queen came out the winner with an impressive total of $3,695, making her one of the highest ranking stars on Africa Unsigned and earning her a ticket to The Netherlands. Singer, songwriter, flow-poet, creative and social entrepreneur Muthoni was recently nominated in the MTV Africa Music Awards in the category: Brand New.

Muthoni will also perform at the Africa Unsigned event in Bitterzoet on Wednesday the 1st of December. With DJ 360 Muthoni will give a steaming performance. Anyone who has invested $ 5,- or more in one of the three competitors will have free admission to the concert. Tickets are also sold at the door.
