Samuel Levie has just handed in his thesis at the UvA on Food policy. Samuel has a great passion for food and social systems. He has found a way to combine these to passions in the Youth Food Movement. He is also one of the owners of ‘the Green Peas’. This company organizes and caters events where food and sustainability meet.
Linda Vermaat loves to eat, organize and talk and combines the these three in her work. In 2010 she started her own campaigning company VOER. She organizes and moderates food related events and is chair of the Youth Food Movemement Academy.
The Youth Food Movement is a network of young farmers, cooks, artisans, activists and students that are actively changing the future of food and farming. With the goal of bringing more food that is good, clean and fair to their communities, they realigning local and regional food systems with the principles of justice and sustainability.
