Watch TED with us on March 2

Do you ever watch TEDtalks? Have you ever wished you could be there, experiencing the crowd’s vibrant energy yourself? Next week you can, sort of. TEDxAmsterdam warmly invites you to watch the TED livestream in the Amsterdam Stadsschouwburg on March 2 during the evening and a part of the night.

Our partnering venue, the Stadsschouwburg, proudly hosts an exclusive live streaming from TED2011 in Long Beach, California along with a handful of special local speakers and performances organized especially for TEDxAmsterdam Live. Join us, be inspired and spark conversation with fellow TED fans!

TED2011: The rediscovery of Wonder

The TED Conference is held annually and some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. This year’s conference will focus on the other, harder-edged meaning of wonder — where “I wonder” equals “I ponder.” Expect a blend of strong servings of thoughtful insight, so that the possibilities we dream of are anchored in reality. Speakers from a wide range of disciplines will be participating. Attendees have called it “the ultimate brain spa” and “a four-day journey into the future”.

TEDxAmsterdam Live is the livestreaming event at the Stadsschouwburg (Municipal Theatre) bringing together a group of TED addicts and newbies to watch the TED talks as they are given live in Long Beach. Plus, there will be some great inspiring local speakers, performers and music. Join us for a night of inspiration!

The event is free, but you need to register yourself. Fill in your name and time period(s) you want to join us. If the spreadsheet does not work, you can also send an email to Irene Rompa.
All seats for block 2 (20.00-21.45) are currently occupied.

    Help us!

TEDxAmsterdam is a volunteer effort, and we are looking for a few brave souls to assist us. If you would like to help out during the event as a volunteer, we would like to hear from you. Think of anything one needs and you can offer, such as welcoming attendees or timing the mini TEDtalks. Fill in your name and how you could possibly help in our Google Spreadsheet.
