What is your TEDx job?
Blogger. This year I did a lot of interviews, for the Human Nature Forecast but also I interviewed the partners of TEDxAmsterdam. Last year I wrote mostly columns, the Close Up On Culture series in which dealt with current social developments, and tried to explain of question them by using philisophy and TEDxtalks.
What’s your favorite TEDxAmsterdam talk?
My favourite TEDxAmsterdam talk is Joris Luyendijks talk of last year in which he encourages us to share our learning curve. I think it’s not only very motivational to jump to into action, but also very on point in our contemporary society where transparency and and learning through collaboration is part and parcel.
What would you speak about during your 3 minute TEDxTalk?
What I would talk about during my TEDtalk is our relationship with difference and how to get to a more productive deal with that. A lot of things in society are marked by a norm and a deviation from that. Instead of using those alternative approaches as a way to expand your perspective, most people see them as a treat, thus staying stuck in a game whose rules are made up by others. I think there’s a lot to gain by changing our relationship with difference.
