PRESS RELEASE
Speakers TEDxYouth@Amsterdam 2012 presented!
17 November in De Nieuwe Liefde
Theme: Bringing Ideas Alive
On November 17, 2012 the TEDxYouth@Amsterdam event will be held in Amsterdam for the third time. TEDxYouth@Amsterdam is a yearly event for young people between the age of 12 and 18. It is all about ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’. It is THE place where youngsters can share their ideas and dreams with the world, through their ‘TEDtalks’. Today TEDxYouth@Amsterdam is presenting its speakers for the upcoming event.
TEDxYouth has invited young and inspiring spreakers on stage, with both creative as well as business minds. Spreakers among others are: design fanatic Paul de Medeiros, sculptor Merle Bouwmeester, go-getter Myrthe Brak, young entrepreneur Michael Lindhout, internet entrepreneur Bas de Vries and social compassionate Rosa d’Adelhart Toorop and Yair da Costa and the line-up of speakers is still growing! Actor Bob de Wind will be hosting the event.
TEDxYouth invited these young adults to give their ‘TEDtalk’ on stage, because they all realized their dream or idea. With their unique story they can be a source of inspiration to people of their own age to encourage them to do the same: Bringing Ideas Alive.
Evelyne Peeters, organizer: “Young people often have more to offer than the people they are closest to will let them believe or are able to see. TEDxYouth shows that these youngsters are capable of realizing their biggest dreams and by talking about it, they help and inspire others to get into action and to fulfill their dream.

During the afternoon the approximately 150 youngsters and 50 adults present can participate in several workshops, where they get a chance to contribute with their best ideas to a bigger picture which will last far beyond the TEDxYouth day. Furthermore, young dreams can be given a boost, so they can be realized.
